Intro

Just a short intro about this website and myself. I'm not a beauty guru or anything so please spare me if my reviews aren't very good! I decided to make this page to keep track of my thoughts on various products that I bought and tried, so that next time when I can remember what's good and what's not (to me).

Two years ago in 2017, I headed to Korea for a grad trip with my friends and prior to that, I've never actually tried much makeup or skincare products (yes I'm aware I sound like I've been living under a rock). My skin condition wasn't very good as I was really lazy to take proper care of it. Even washing my face twice a day back then seemed like a huge hassle to me. It's not that I have great skin right now either, but I am trying to take better care of it. :(

A little more about me - I'm actually from Singapore, a tropical country where it's hot all year round (ya we don't have 4 seasons). Shall not reveal my actual age but I'm somewhere between 20-22 so ya still young no need worry about wrinkles yet (or so I thought until another auntie told me that there were wrinkles forming around my eyes and I should start taking care of it soon). Tbh idk what is my skin type but i get lots of acne and it gets red (sensitive) and also oily really easily esp at the t-zone (trying not to sound as clueless as I can) so I'm guessing it's oily, sensitive and acne-prone?? (I honestly have no idea) Though one time I went to thread my brows the auntie told me the skin around my brow area was so terribly dry I should get a facial package from them right away HAHA so idk!!

Some clarifications about the title 'BASIC REVIEWS' - I am by no means a professional; in fact I am also quite confused as to how to go about taking care of my skin. I am still learning and trying out different products, and honestly have no idea how to go about giving proper reviews. As mentioned above, I am actually just using this as a means of keeping track of products that I liked and disliked, and some major points about them. That's all! As such, please don't take my words too seriously and hold me accountable for things that do not work out for you as they did for me as I'm also a newbie.

Anyway that's about it. I love to read reviews about products before I start using/buy them but get really sad and frustrated sometimes when I can't find any on a particular product, so I hope that those that I'm about to post are slightly helpful for someone out there in some way!! :))
